Leading Cambodian law firm, HBS Law, recently announced that it has joined TAGLaw®, a worldwide alliance of more than 160 independent law firms in over 90 countries. HBS Law will be the exclusive TAGLaw member for Cambodia.
An important ASEAN market, Cambodia has seen steady growth since the start of the decade. HBS Law has been instrumental in assisting clients with establishing businesses, whether new or branches of international companies, as well as advising companies in sectors such as Banking, Aviation, IT, Real Estate, Construction, Energy, Insurance and Professional Services. In recent years, HBS Law’s client base has increased among domestic and international companies that are seeking to invest and trade in Cambodia.
“By joining the smart and highly professional TAG Alliances, we feel this can only help us develop our home market, as well as regionally, as ASEAN countries and beyond look to increase trading with one another and invest in Cambodia,” said LY Tayseng, Managing Director of HBS Law. “It is certainly good timing to join TAGLaw and we look forward to working with them and their other members, whom we are looking forward to meet in what promises to be exciting times.”
“HBS Law is an excellent firm, and we are pleased to have them as members of TAGLaw in such an important ASEAN market,” said Richard Attisha, President of TAGLaw and the TAG Alliances. “Even before they officially joined, their firm was able to assist contacts of our alliance with matters in Cambodia. We were impressed with their responsiveness and professionalism. We know their firm will be a dynamic resource for our members and their clients.”
TAGLaw members are invited to join TAGLaw only after undergoing a comprehensive vetting and selection process. Firms are carefully chosen based on professional competence, commitment to client service, reputation within the legal community and recommendations from existing members. Candidate firms are reviewed and if they satisfy TAGLaw’s criteria, the TAGLaw Advisory Board approves the candidate as a member. Members then receive access to TAGLaw’s international resources as well as the multidisciplinary resources found within the broader TAG Alliances™ (TAGLaw, TIAG® and TAG-SP™).
