Manchester commercial law firm Kuits Solicitors has advised family-run confectionary giant Tommy Tucker on the purchase of RJ Foods Limited.
Tommy Tucker is the UK’s leading supplier of popcorn to the cinema industry, supplying over 55 million servings of popcorn every year to cinemas and leisure venues around the country and in excess of 30 million retail bags of popcorn.
RJ Foods, a UK-based provider of homemade flapjacks, was established in 1989 in a family kitchen, and has since grown to supply wholesalers in the UK and Europe.
Kuits provided in-depth commercial and legal advice to the management team of the Worksop-based Tommy Tucker. The deal was led by Head of Corporate for Kuits, Kirsti Pinnell, and assisted by solicitor James Skivington, who have a strong track record in advising family-owned businesses.
