Practice Area
The Corporate Team acts for fast growing and developing companies, smaller quoted companies (Main Market and AIM), high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs and their private and family businesses. Our clients are drawn from a wide range of industries, but there is an emphasis on investment funds and commodities trading (from regulatory issues to structuring), support services, IT & e-commerce and the hotels/leisure sector. Much of what we do incorporates a strong tax component as well.
The Employment Team provides high quality, specialist advice on the full range of employment issues. The team make a priority of responding promptly and of offering practical solutions to complex problems. Clients include businesses, charities and senior executives. The team has strong links with TAGLaw members and is particularly well placed to coordinate and advise on international employment issues. The team design and deliver training to explain how areas of English employment law apply in practice and also provide regular updates on legal developments.
The Family Law Team deals with all issues related to relationship breakdown and on new relationships starting up. Many of our clients have international backgrounds and the team has particular experience of cross-border cases.
The Litigation Team is active in a broad range of commercial disputes and has substantial, well-regarded expertise in property and commercial litigation.
The Private Client & Tax Team is a leader in its field domestically and internationally and handles tax planning for large, complex estates, private companies, high net worth individuals and families, trustees, executors and charities. It advises on inheritance, capital gains and income tax planning, wills and probate, domicile and residence issues, VAT, property and corporate taxes, the creation and administration of trusts and on trust and probate disputes.
The highly rated Property Team undertakes the full spectrum of commercial and residential development projects from major city centre projects to niche redevelopment schemes. On the investment side they act for large corporate investors, institutions and funds and private individuals alike, often involving complex on or offshore structures. Additional areas of expertise include property finance and secured lending, property taxes, town and country planning, construction and environmental law.
