Profile: Sue Jarvis leads the Cerebral Palsy team. She joined Blake Lapthorn in September 2002 from Pictons Solicitors where she had been an equity partner since 1993, and head of the Civil Litigation Department since 1994. She has a particular interest in acting for children and cerebral palsy victims. She is a member of various specialist panels, including Action for Victims of Medical Accidents, the Law Society Clinical Negligence & Personal Injury Panels and Headway. She sits on two LSC Review Panels, which review decisions by the Legal Aid Board and has a background as a trained CAB advisor.
After working as a biochemist in various hospitals, and following the births of her three children, and running a business from home, Sue obtained a law degree and after a short spell of lecturing qualified as a solicitor at Pictons, where she quickly became a partner. Her commitment is to practical advice and in particular rehabilitation.
