Brigid Heid practices employment law focusing on business, commercial and employment litigation. She advises clients with business conflict mediation, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and unfair competition. She also advises clients on how to avoid and resolve costly worker disputes involving hiring, termination, discipline, wage and hour, intellectual property, insurance coverage, discrimination and harassment.

Brigid joined CPM as a partner in April 2008, and is chair of the Employment and Labor Practice Group and the Hiring Committee.

Brigid is a member of the American Bar Association (Litigation and Employment Law Committees; Advisory Panel 2012), Columbus Bar Association (elected to serve two terms on the Board of Governors, 2011 – present; Member of the Labor & Employment Committee; Alternate Member of the Judiciary Committee); Columbus Bar Foundation (Fellow and Board Member 2013-2014); Ohio State Bar Association; TAGLaw Alliance (Principal Contact), and Women Lawyers of Franklin County (Past President).

Brigid is admitted to the bars of Ohio, U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit; and U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio, Southern District of Ohio, and District of Columbia.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Brigid is a member of the Columbus Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners; served two terms as the President of the Columbus Chapter of the Executive Women's Golf Association; is Past Treasurer of Beta Nu House Association for Kappa Kappa Gamma; served as President of the Board of Trustees, Chair of the Client and Human Relations Committee and Chair of the Program Committee for The Legal Aid Society of Columbus. Brigid is a member of Columbus Rotary.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

Brigid enjoys playing golf and lives in Upper Arlington with her husband, Kurt, and their rescue dog, Tundra.

EDUCATION

Brigid is a graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, with honors.
