Wally is a partner in the Corporate Division, based in Sydney. He is recognised as one of Australia's leading practitioners with over 30 years experience in corporate, government, TMT and major projects law. He recently joined Piper Alderman from a top tier Australian law firm where he held the national positions of Departmental Managing Partner, Corporate, and Chairman, Energy and Resources Group.
During his career, Wally has gained experience across a wide range of legal areas including corporate and M&A law, corporate finance, intellectual property, workout/recovery, projects and taxation including tax litigation and R&D.
Wally's client focus is in the corporate, energy and resources, infrastructure, TMT and government sectors. He has acted for a wide range of leading Australian and international corporations such as AWE Limited, Cable and Wireless plc, Department of Defence, Telecom New Zealand, the New South Wales Government and the New South Wales Casino Liquor Gaming Control Authority.
