Schander's Denny Shupe, a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (“ACTL”), has been appointed by the ACTL’s President to chair its Special Problems in the Administration of Justice Committee (U.S.). The Committee has the mandate to “recommend improvements in the administration of justice in the United States and to suggest ways to maintain proper liaison with others to that end.”

Kuri Breña, Sánchez Ugarte y Aznar advised Crédito Real in its first issuance of fiduciary certificates for an amount of MX$800,000,000.00 with a maturity of 5 years. The securitization will be supported by a portfolio of loans granted by Crédito Real to retirees.

Congratulations to DQ’s Tara Cubbon who has been promoted to the position of Senior Associate within the Dispute Resolution team.

This is a well-deserved promotion for Tara who is making a name for herself acting on high profile and high value commercial litigation, banking disputes and insolvency matters. She appears regularly before the Isle of Man High Court of Justice and the Staff of Government Division.

DQ Advocates are delighted to announce that Sinead O’Connor – Head of Regulatory & Compliance Services, Hazel Dawson – Senior Associate and Adam Killip – Associate have all achieved accreditation from the leading provider PDP as qualified data protection practitioners.  All three attended the series of five modules delivered on the Island by PDP in conjunction with the Alliance of Isle of Man Compliance Professionals and sat a three hour exam in mid-September.
