Cayman Islands law firm, Solomon Harris, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious title of “offshore law firm of the year” at the US Captive Service Awards 2012.
The firm’s award featured amongst a number of awards celebrating excellence in the delivery and management of captive insurance services and was announced in Chicago on Monday, 10 September as part of the “Captive Live USA” conference. Solomon Harris beat off strong opposition from other leading offshore law firms to gain the coveted award.
Solomon Harris partner and head of insurance, Paul Scrivener, commented, “We are absolutely delighted to have received this recognition from the industry. It is a reflection of the fantastic work of the entire team over a number of years in delivering sound and commercially-focused legal advice to captives, those setting up captives and their brokers and consultants. We are working in a very competitive market place and have a great deal of respect for the firms that we were competing against for this award. It is therefore particularly gratifying for our service offering to be acknowledged in this way”.
Solomon Harris managing partner, Sophia Harris, added, “I could not be more pleased for Paul and his team. Our insurance practice is a very important part of our overall practice and has grown significantly over the past few years as we have consolidated our position as one of the leading offshore insurance firms. This year has been a particularly good year for the insurance team and this award is definitely the icing on the cake.”
Solomon Harris is an independent full service corporate/commercial law firm with recognised expertise in a number of niche areas, including insurance and investment funds. The firm is recognised as a top ranking offshore law firm by the leading UK international law firm directories, including Chambers Global and Legal 500.
