New GGV partner comes from PwC

The multidisciplinary firm GGV Grützmacher Gravert Viegener has added tax expert Dr. Oliver von Schweinitz as a partner. He moved from the auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he worked as a Director in Frankfurt and Hamburg - a status which is comparable in the law firms of a salary partner.

Oliver worked For PwC for four and a half years. Previously, he worked two years for KSP lawyers and two years at Weil Gotshal & Manges. Had begun his career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. In GGV he intends to build a practice for financial services and support medium-sized companies in their internationalization.

Oliver focusing his practice in tax reporting and has experience with the automatic exchange of information on financial accounts, such as the common reporting standard (CRS). He also specializes in several US issues, such as US regulatory law and the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), the US tax-reporting of foreign financial institutions which has been tightened considerably.

GGV advises medium-sized  clientele particularly in corporate and tax law. In addition, leverages the firm's international alliance, TAGLaw, the firm regularly assists Anglo-American clients who wish to enter the German market.
