Simeza, Sangwa & Associates Advocates was founded by Robert Simeza, S.C. and John Sangwa, S.C. in 1994. In addition to the two named partners, there are six associates, four learner legal practitioners and three legal trainees, making the firm one of the largest in Zambia.

The current practice mix is approximately 60% litigation (civil and criminal) and 40% Commercial/Corporate (including corporate and banking).  While the firm represents some local corporations and some regional banks, most of the work in the commercial practice area of the firm is from clients based outside of the country.  Zambia is a common law jurisdiction and many of the firm lawyers have trained in the U.K. or Australia before returning to Zambia.  Robert heads the Commercial and Corporate practice areas and John heads the litigation practice area.

The firm has been involved in many high profile cases including one in which they sought the removal of the Chief Justice of their highest court because he exceeded the age limit for the position as established by their Constitution.  John Sangwa has also represented former Zambian president Kenneth Kaunda on appeal in a matter in which he was declared Stateless.

Lusaka, where the firm is located, is the capital city and the principal commercial center of the country.

Due to restrictions imposed by the Zambian government on lawyer advertising, law firms cannot have web sites.
