Professional Experience

George was admitted to practice law in Michigan in 1988. He has been with the firm since 1988 and a member since 1996. During this period of time, George has concentrated on state, federal and bankruptcy litigation in and outside of Michigan.

Areas of Emphasis

Commercial Litigation

George has directed or has been involved in a wide range of commercial litigation involving complex issues under Article 2 and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code and commercial contracts, among other matters.

Real Estate Litigation:

George has enforced the rights of parties under purchase agreements, mortgages, land contracts, and other instruments. To preserve value of real estate and to control the stream of income being generated by hotels and other commercial properties, George has been involved in many cases to appoint receivers. In conjunction with receiverships, George has ensured that regulatory issues, including liquor license operation issues, are properly secured so that there is little or no interruption in the services provided.
