Klaus Gravert, born in 1942, is a German attorney, public auditor, certified public accountant, and certified tax law attorney. He advises business enterprises and business persons on German and international tax law, accounting law, and company and partnership law. 

Typical matters handled by Mr. Gravert include: 

  • tax structuring and tax planning for German and international companies/partnerships;
  • setting up of tax-optimized corporate group structures;
  • evaluations for implementing transfer price systems;
  • accounting and dividend payout policies;
  • providing assistance in respect of audits by the tax authorities and conducting litigation before the tax courts;
  • corporate structurings, particularly with respect to corporate successions and inheritance tax law.

Klaus Gravert studied law at the Universities of Göttingen and Munich. He obtained a doctorate at the University of Göttingen in 1971, the topic of his doctoral thesis being the systematic of social welfare law.

Mr. Gravert is admitted in Hamburg as a German attorney, certified public accountant, and public auditor. He began his career in Frankfurt in the tax department of Arthur Andersen (now Ernst & Young). After working there for seven years, he moved to Hamburg and in 1978 opened the offices of GGV, which he is still actively managing.
