Brad’s primary areas of practice are civil litigation (federal and state), insurance coverage and defense, commercial litigation, estate matters and appellate work.  Brad is a native of Potomac, Maryland and was born in Washington, D.C.  He was admitted to practice law in Mississippi in 1995.  Brad is currently the Managing Partner of the firm.

Brad was chosen as the winner of the 2014 Corporate INTL Magazine Global Award: “Civil Trial Attorney of the Year in Mississippi.”  The Corporate INTL Global Awards commemorate excellence by the world’s leading advisers who throughout the past 12 months have demonstrated superior client service and legal knowledge. Brad served as federal law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Neal B. Biggers, Jr., of the Northern District of Mississippi from 1995 to 1996.  While serving as a clerk, Brad was involved in the landmark decisions involving the desegregation of the Mississippi college and university system (Ayers v. Fordice, 879 F. Supp. 1419 (N.D. Miss. 1995)) and school prayer (Herdahl v. Pontotoc County School District, 933 F. Supp. 582 (N.D. Miss. 1996)).

Brad is admitted to the bar before all Mississippi courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.  Brad has also been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States and has the privilege of engaging in appellate practice with the Court.

Brad received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Clemson University in 1992, cum laude, with senior departmental honors.  He graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1995.  At Ole Miss he received the Judge W.N. Ethridge, Jr. Memorial Law Scholarship, as well as the Albert N. Hopkins Scholarship.  He was a charter member of The Journal of National Security Law and a member of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity.

Brad has authored various articles concerning insurance litigation, including ”Litigating the Insurance Claim,” R. Bradley Best and Jonathan S. Masters, Insurance Coverage Litigation, National Business Institute, July 2006; and ”Interpreting Coverage Under the Insurance Contract,” R. Bradley Best and Jonathan S. Masters, Insurance Coverage Litigation, National Business Institute, July 2006.  In 2010, he authored ”Summary of Mississippi Law: An A to Z Guide of Insurance-Related Topics.”
