Josh is a trial lawyer with extensive experience representing clients in high-stakes disputes in court, arbitration and mediation settings.  Many of his clients have been corporations and executives; he has fought for their interests in a wide variety of circumstances, such as fraud claims brought by private equity companies and hedge funds, fiduciary duty claims faced by directors and officers and emergency litigation to protect corporate assets. He has also served clients in matters involving pharmaceutical products liability, manufacturers' contract disputes, regulatory compliance, and insurance.

After law school, Josh was a litigation associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Following his time there, Josh continued his litigation practice as an experienced trial team attorney at Grippo & Elden LLC.

Josh has a particular interest in helping clients navigate complex discovery issues and limit discovery costs before and after a dispute arises. He has experience in all phases of fact and expert discovery, and he has worked closely with forensic experts and IT professionals on state-of-the-art e-discovery challenges. At Grippo & Elden, he was the Associate Chair of the Electronic Discovery Resource Group, where he helped manage the firm's training and research on e-discovery.

Josh also devotes time to serving a variety of pro bono clients, including representation of mentally ill patients in a large class action suit and the defense of a wrongfully convicted inmate seeking post-trial DNA testing.

Josh lives in Oak Park with his wife, a speech-language pathologist, their daughter, and their three-legged dog named Inigo.
