Kai graduated from the University of Liverpool, England with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 2000.  Kai completed the Law Practice Course at Chester, College of Law in 2001 and qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2004 with the London office of US firm Cadwalader.

Kai worked with Beachcrofts 2004 to 2006, and with Appleby (Jersey, Channel Islands) 2006 to 2011, joining Solomon Harris in January 2012.  Kai is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, the Cayman Islands Law Society and a Jersey Advocate.

Kai’s practice spans general commercial litigation experience acting for a variety of corporate clients and he has a wide experience of cross-border and multi-jurisdictional litigation including regulatory regimes and often works closely with foreign attorneys.  Kai also advises liquidators and stakeholders in the context of liquidations (often multi-jurisdictional) and other restructuring processes.  Kai has also obtained extensive contentious trust experience representing both institutional trustees and beneficiaries. 

As well as litigation up to Appeal Court level, Kai has used alternative dispute resolution methods to successfully conclude disputes. Kai’s extensive experience in meeting commercial clients' needs and concerns allows him to adopt an imaginative and pro-active approach to restructuring and dispute resolution.

Admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2004; Jersey Advocate 2011; Attorney to Cayman Islands 2012.
