|Below is a summary of the Marketing and Business Development Specialty Group's 2011 Second Quarter Conference Call and a link to the recorded call.
TAGLaw established a presence on LinkedIn in February, and has since established a TAGLaw Marketing and Business Development LinkedIn Group. Let's get talking! Over the years we have used the Group email list for discussion purposes. This method was somewhat limited, and we are excited about the new opportunities and benefits the LinkedIn group presents as our new forum for discussion:
- It greatly improves our ability to have more comprehensive discussions
- It allows more people to participate
- It stores discussions thereby allowing you to search for, view, and comment on discussions on topics of interest at any time
- It provides a forum for sharing legal marketing information of interest without burdening email inboxes
One of the most valuable aspects of discussion among the Specialty Group is the ability to share ideas with legal marketers that operate in non-competing markets. We will preserve that benefit by limiting membership in the LinkedIn group to TAGLaw members only. This will ensure that your discussions and interactions are not available to the LinkedIn general population. Join the TAGLaw Marketing and Business Development LinkedIn group today!

Language skills can be searched on directly from the "Find a Firm/Lawyer" page on the TAGLaw website. Be sure you and your firm can be found! If there is a language missing from the list, please let us know and we will add it for you.
WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A LEADER IN LAW FIRMS
Mark Beese of Leadership for Lawyers led an interactive discussion and addressed leadership questions such as: Why is it hard to lead lawyers? How can I get lawyers to act, instead of just talk? Mark is the former Chief Marketing Officer for Holland & Hart, a 450-attorney law firm with offices throughout the Mountain West of the United States. With 20 years of experience in marketing, business development and strategy, Mark works with law firms and other professional service firms on matters of marketing, business development, client feedback, client service and leadership development.
