On Thursday, September 5, 2019, Harper Grey lawyer, Sandra Abley, presented to the Riverside Investment Club on “Estate Planning Tips and Traps”. With a focus on wealth management and preservation, Sandra has experience with virtually every element of estate planning and administration which allows her to provide comprehensive and integrated wealth planning recommendations and guidance to her clients.

On September 6, 2019, the first Vancouver event for Access Pro Bono’s 2019 “Going Public” event was held at Victory Square Park in downtown Vancouver. This event facilitates access to justice for low- and modest-income people by engaging volunteer lawyers in advising pre-scheduled and drop-in clients on various legal issues. Harper Grey has been the proud title sponsor of Access Pro Bono’s Going Public Event since 2014.
The next event in this year’s Advice-A-Thon will be held on September 13 at the Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza.

On March 22, 2018 the Acting Privacy Commissioner of B.C. issued a report which substantially limited a residential landlord’s right to perform credit checks when screening tenants. The Acting Privacy Commissioner’s view was that a credit report was largely irrelevant to a residential landlord considering a tenant’s application to rent, and that landlords should not be allowed to perform credit checks on tenants except in unusual circumstances.

Escura, as an Internationalization Support Agent (ASI), attended the Internationalization Support Agents plenary session of the Agency for Competitiveness of the Company (ACCIÓ) of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Andrea Piscedda and Albert Sant i Pont attended as coordinators of the International Department of Escura.
