Today, July 1st, Alejandro Chechilnitzky has officially joined to Guerrero Olivos, as a senior counsel of the tax practice group, in order to further improve the good performance of this area with his experience and knowledge in this field.

Until the end of June, Alejandro held the position of senior manager at EY. He is a lawyer from Universidad Diego Portales; he holds a master’s degree in Tax Law from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez; an LLM from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law; and a Certificate in Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management. In addition, as part of his experience, he worked at PWC´s International Tax Services department in Chicago, USA.

Property Investment in Turkey

Barbaros Karaahmet, Herrick’s Turkish Practice Co-Chair, led a panel discussion on Property Investment in Turkey with İnanç Kabadayı, Chairman of Ege Yapi and Nicholas Buckworth, CEO of African Rail Group on June 6, 2019. The evening focused on the current issues surrounding the uptrend and positive growth of real estate investments in Turkey.

IMN – 16th Annual Non-Listed Alternative Investment Products Symposium

Morris DeFeo will moderate a panel on Net Asset Value REITs, "Traditional" Lifecycle Non-Listed REITs; and BDCs at IMN's 16th Annual New York Non-Listed Alternative Investment Products Symposium. The panel will focus on what's driving sales for non-listed REITs, the pros and cons of non-listed vs. listed REITs, and the key features of non-listed REITs and BDCs, among other topics. Individual panelist perspectives on the industry outlook will also be discussed.

Manchester commercial law firm Kuits has promoted seven of its team following its eighth consecutive year of positive growth.

The news comes during the 110th anniversary celebrations of the firm, which employs over 200 people and has an annual turnover of £14m.

The firm, which was recently named the British Chambers of Commerce Regional Employer of the Year, has made Mark McKeating and Meave O’Neill partners, bringing the total number in the partnership to 32.

Daniel joined Piper Alderman with Robert Riddell in 2017 as Special Counsel. Daniel has over 15 years’ experience providing legal services for developers, builders, trade contractors and owners of retail shopping centres, aged care, industrial and residential developments in relation to construction disputes across litigation, arbitration, security of payment legislation, expert determination and mediation processes. Daniel is an active member of the Resolution Institute and Society of Construction Law Australia.
