Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced that Arlene Switzer Steinfield, Dallas-based Senior Counsel in the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice, was recently elected to serve as the Treasurer of The College of Labor & Employment Lawyers. Her term will commence January 1, 2019. The appointment puts Steinfield in line to become President of the College in 2022.

Australian TAGLaw member Piper Alderman recently advised ElectraNet on its contract with CIMIC’s UGL to design, construct and commission high voltage substations and transmission lines that will connect the Prominent Hill Mine to the South Australian electricity grid. As part of the contract, UGL will design, construct and commission switching station infrastructure and approximately 300kms of high voltage transmission lines to support OZ Minerals Limited’s mining projects in South Australia’s upper north region. The project will generate revenue to UGL of approximately $180 million over two years.

Piper Alderman has announced the appointment of Andrea Beatty as a partner in its Financial Services team based in Sydney. 

Andrea is a corporate partner specialising in the financial services industry. Andrea has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services regulation and corporate finance. Andrea joins the firm with two lawyers and an administrative assistant from boutique advisory firm, Keypoint Law.  Andrea is a former partner of Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now KWM) and K&L Gates.
