On the 22nd November 2023, Dr Madeleine Gauci & Dr Manfred Galdes attended the Annual Company Law Conference, entitled ‘Maltese Company Law – New Perspective, New Laws, New Challenges’.
The highly anticipated conference included an excellent panel of speakers, who dealt with a number of eye-opening developments and issues in the Maltese company law sphere. These included the evolving governance role of the board secretary, the role of the official receiver, the function of the Sanctions Monitoring Board, an analysis of a recent case exploring the notion of fraudulent trading and finally Artificial Intelligence in connection with corporate governance and company law.
This conference was organised by the Maltese Chamber of Advocates in collaboration with the Malta Law Academy and the University of Malta.
