Casner & Edwards announces that James (Jim) G. Atchison has joined the firm as counsel in the firm’s highly regarded, Chambers-ranked Bankruptcy & Restructuring Group.
Atchison focuses his practice on commercial bankruptcies and litigation, out-of-court workouts and business dispute resolution. He also handles a wide range of complex commercial and business litigation, including construction, securities, mergers & acquisitions and partnership disputes. Atchison represents and advises individuals and business lenders, borrowers, contractors, real estate developers, employers, insurance carriers, financial institutions, institutional and private equity investors and bondholders. He has extensive experience serving as a court-appointed receiver in state court insolvency proceedings and is admitted in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and the U.S. District Courts of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Vermont.
