What does being an accountant mean to you?

From a customer's perspective, there are two aspects to consider. I view a professional as someone who can either provide me with a solution to a problem or at the very least, assist me in finding one. I expect that professional to empathize with my problems and, once engaged, show interest and effort in helping me.

As a firm leader, my expectation is that all professionals should embody the characteristics I just described. They should serve as instruments to help our clients achieve their goals and objectives, adhering to rigorous ethical standards.

What value do you and your firm receive from TAG Alliances membership?

The opportunity to collaborate with other high-quality firm members is invaluable. This can either involve assisting them in serving their clients or having them share their expertise with us or one of our clients. Moreover, it provides access to international firms that could potentially assist our clients in entering specific markets.

What is something unique about your firm?

Over the years, the firm has built a solid reputation within the Puerto Rican business community. We currently serve not only clients from the island, but also extend our services in collaboration with other national CPA and Consulting Firms across mainland USA. One aspect that distinguishes our firm is our ongoing participation in the grant management for the Hurricane Irma/Maria recovery project in Puerto Rico. This project, led by FEMA, is considered the largest disaster recovery effort in history. Federal funds allocated to this disaster project amounts to approximately $81 billion."
